...Tamara Josey, owner and chef discovered she truly loved serving people. She realized that while spending only a little of herself, she could bring priceless joy to the hearts of others. She has performed countless miracles from this home grown business and has enjoyed them all. Tamara obtained her associates degree in Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management with honors from J & A Institute of Culinary Arts in Philadelphia where she also took home the "Rising Star of Philadelphia Award" for her Strawberry Stuffed Apple Cheesecake Dessert. As a part of her degree program she interned at the exclusive Pompeii Restaurant in Center City Philadelphia as the Pastry Assistant and in the Temple University Catering Department. Even with all of this, her love and passion for food & dessert creations in the kitchen came from her Grandmama Louise and her Aunt Yvette,. With their teachings, guidance and family trade secrets Tamara began cooking at the young age of 7. Tamara has been in the hospitality industry since 1993 ranging from hotel front desk, banquet manager to overnight hotel manager. She has taken her experience and combined it with her God given talent and love for cooking & baking to create her own cafe home "Catered Blessings Dessert First".
